TEP Announces Major 200MW/800MWh Battery Storage Projects by 2026: Arizona

Tucson Electric Power (TEP) will build and operate the 200MW/800MWh Roadrunner Reserve II Battery Storage Project in southeast Tucson Arizona, US., set to begin in early 2026. This follows the 200MW/800MWh Roadrunner Reserve project, launching in 2025. Together, they will significantly enhance TEP’s Energy Storage Capacity and support reliability amid rising demand.
