Tamil Nadu to seek additional 7 GW Green H2 power by 2031-32

Following Tamil Nadu’s power demand jump of 6.2% in the first half of 2024-25 speculations are projecting an additional electricity demand of 7,000 MW on account of Green Hydrogen and Ammonia as per the national Electricity plan-transmission of CEA. The overall demand by 2026-27 on account of Green hydrogen and Ammonia is about 10,50 MW out of which 1,500 MW would be from Tamil Nadu.
