MERC Sets Competitive Tariffs for MSEDCL's 6600MW Energy Tender

MERC has set a weighted average tariff of ₹4.08 /kWh for MSEDCL's composite tender for 1,600 MW of Thermal and 5,000 MW of Solar Power. Adani Power won the bids, offering ₹5.39/kWh for thermal and ₹2.70/kWh for Solar. Despite legal challenges, MERC deemed the tariffs competitive and reflective of market conditions, promoting a cost-effective blend of energy sources.
