Maharashtra aims to connect RE to Pumped Storage Plants via Competitive Bidding
A major transmission scheme in Maharashtra aims to connect renewable energy to pumped storage plants (PSP) via competitive bidding. The ISTS-TBCB project, costing Rs.1,663 crore, plans a 765/400kV substation near Talegaon. Tata Power's PSP projects are key, with an anticipated 10 GW capacity. REC Power Development will coordinate the bidding process for completion by January 2027.
