The 2022 Battery Waste Management Rules aim for a circular economy, but experts warn the low Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) floor price could promote fraud & undermine legitimate recycling. This poses environmental & economic risks, potentially costing India over $1 billion by 2030 if not addressed
