India Amends Electricity Act for Cross-Border Trade Insight

On August 12, India's Ministry of Power amended the Import and Export of Electricity Act 2018, allowing electricity exports from Renewables, Coal, and Hydropower to neighboring countries. The new guidelines support cross-border trade with transparency, permit dedicated Transmission Lines, and involve designated authority approval for such infrastructure.
