IEX Hits Record 13,250 MU Volume in July 2024

Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) set records with a total trading volume of 13,250 MU in July 2024, a 56% increase YoY. Electricity volume rose 29% YoY to 10,093 MU, and green electricity grew 259% YoY to 1 BU. Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) surged 405% YoY, hitting a record low price of Rs. 120. The Real-Time Market increased 31% YoY to 3,334 MU, while the Green Market volume grew 259% YoY.
