Critical Materials Recycling Wins DOE Prize for Innovation
The US DoE awarded Iowa-based Critical Materials Recycling(CMR) $500,000 for its innovative acid-free recycling process for Wind turbine components. This method, developed in collaboration with Ames National Laboratory, focuses on extracting rare earth elements while minimizing waste & environmental hazards. The prize aims to enhance recycling technologies for a more sustainable circular economy.
