Yindjibarndi Energy Corporation (YEC) has submitted plans for environmental approval to develop the 1 GW Baru-Marnda Renewable Energy Project in Western Australia’s Pilbara region. Located 50 km south of Karratha on native title land, the complex will feature up to 1 GW of wind turbines, 500 MW of solar panels, and optional battery storage.
