Windlab and Squadron Energy have referred the 500MW Bungaban Solar Project in Queensland, Australia, for federal EPBC Act assessment. The proposed development combines 500MW of solar PV with a 500MW battery energy storage system across a 1,531.9-hectare site near Wandoan. Construction is planned to begin in July 2028, with operations expected through 2068.
