West Bengal plans 245 new EV charging stations and battery-swapping centres across Kolkata, neighbouring municipalities, and major highways. WBSEDCL will provide land at these locations, while selected bidders will set up, operate, and manage facilities on a revenue-sharing model. Power will be supplied by WBSEDCL at twin tariffs, with operators allowed to charge up to ₹18 per unit for fast charging.
