Welspun New Energy signed an MoU with the Maharashtra Government to develop a 1.2 GW Pumped Hydroelectric Storage project, named 'Dhamni Pumped Hydro'. With an investment of around Rs 5,000 crore, the project will be built in Pune and Raigad over 6-7 years. It aims to support India's 500 GW Renewable Energy target by 2030 and enhance grid stability.
