Waaree Energies Secures LoI for 700 MW SECI Solar-Storage Project in Maharashtra

Waaree Energies received LOA from SECI to develop 700 MW solar project paired with 700 MW/2,800 MWh storage in Solapur, Maharashtra under 25-year PPA. Separately, board approved consolidation by relocating plant and machinery from 1 GW Tumb and 1.11 GW Nandigram facilities to Chikhli, Gujarat. It also approved ∼$37 million capex by subsidiary Waaree Solar Americas to revamp Arizona module facility, replacing existing lines with high-efficiency lines, increasing capacity from 1 GW to 1.
