Vodafone Idea Limited acquired a 26% equity stake in Sangli Wind Energy Private Limited (SWEPL) for ₹31.2 lakh to comply with Indian electricity laws on captive power use. SWEPL, formed on August 28, 2024, aims to develop a Wind-based Captive Power plant in Sangli, Maharashtra. The deal supports Vodafone Idea’s Renewable Energy and sustainability goals.
