Gulf Development’s unit, Gulf Hydropower Holdings, is acquiring the remaining 60% stake in the 770MW Pak Lay hydropower project in Laos for $128 million from Sinohydro, raising its ownership to 100%. The plant, supplying electricity to Thailand under a 29-year contract starting in 2032, aligns with Gulf’s growing investments in renewable energy.
