V. O. Chidambaranar Port in Tamil Nadu has allocated ₹ 41860 Cr to become India's Green Hydrogen Ammonia hub with the aim to enhance cargo handling capacity. The port plans to assign 501 acres of land for establishing Green H2 manufacturing and storage facilities. A pilot demonstration for production, storage and power generation using fuel cells is underway, expected to be completed by Jan'25.
