Vattenfall has begun construction of the 24.6 MW Hommerdingen-Biesdorf hybrid wind and solar park in south-west Germany, combining four 17 MW wind turbines with over 12,000 solar modules rated at 7.6 MWp. The project, set for commissioning in autumn 2026, integrates the solar installation with the wind park via a single grid connection, enhancing efficiency and reducing grid overload risks.
