Varanasi will soon operate India’s first hydrogen fuel cell vessel, launching commercial services on December 11, 2025. Flagged off by Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal from Namo Ghat, the vessel uses green hydrogen technology, offering zero emissions, noise-free travel, and eco-friendly navigation along the waterways.
