Uttar Pradesh recorded the highest rooftop solar installations under PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojna in March, adding 52,729 systems. With 4.48 lakh cumulative installations and 1,524.61 MW capacity, it ranks third nationally. The initiative delivers daily savings of Rs4–4.5 crore, generates 68–70 lakh units, creates jobs, reduces emissions, and benefits households with lower or near-zero electricity bills significantly.
