Uttar Pradesh Govt has approved two thermal power projects worth Rs 18000 crore

To provide cheaper electricity to the state's residents, the Uttar Pradesh government sanctioned the construction of two "Obra D" thermal power facilities in Sonbhadra's Obra, each with a capacity of 800 MW. With the central government-owned power generator NTPC, the projects will be carried out by the government in a 50:50 collaboration.
