US battery maker ION Storage Systems, a Maryland-based solid-state battery leader, has begun shipping its Cornerstone batteries for consumer electronics and electric vehicles (EVs). These multilayer solid-state cells offer long cycle life, no swelling, enhanced safety, and no bulky compression systems.
