Researchers at the University of Western Ontario have developed a laminate-free solar module using polycarbonate (PC) as an encapsulant, replacing traditional EVA. The design enables easy disassembly, recycling, and circular reuse of PV cells while maintaining mechanical robustness and IP68-equivalent water resistance.
