UltraTech First Cement Firm to Cross 2 GW Wind Solar Energy for Captive Use in India

UltraTech Cement became India’s first cement company to cross 2 GW green energy capacity for captive use. It commissioned 116.55 MW wind capacity at its ISTS-connected wind-solar hybrid project in Barmer, Rajasthan, and 10 MW WHRS at Sarlanagar, Karnataka. Cumulative green capacity now stands at 2,024 MW, including 1,580 MW renewable and 444 MW WHRS, meeting 48% of power needs.
