UAE’s Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, announced the adoption of EV tariffs for its first government owned EV charging network, by January 2025. The tariff is set at 1.2 DHS/kWh + VAT for DC chargers and 0.70 DHS/kWh + VAT for AC chargers. The decision came in order to ensure service quality, equitable access to its network and alignment with the UAE’s vision for sustainable future.
