A Turkish firm, 77 Construction Company, has invested $65 million in the first phase of a wind power project in Herat, Afghanistan, aiming for a 43.2 MW capacity. The project is part of a larger 200 MW plan. The groundbreaking ceremony drew officials from both countries. It marks Afghanistan’s first use of Turkish wind turbine technology.
