Torrent Power and Maharashtra have signed three MoUs for three pumped storage hydro projects with a capacity of 5.7GW. These projects will be installed in Raigarh (3GW), Junnar (1.2GW), and Pune (1.5GW). The projects aim to provide a minimum of 6 hours of daily energy storage. The estimated cost of the project is around INR 27,000 Crore, and it is expected to be completed by 2028.
