Tamil Nadu Green Energy Corporation Limited (TNGECL) has issued a tender for seven standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects totaling 1,500 MWh (375 MW × 4 hours) to provide “on-demand” energy for Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPDCL). Projects, located near designated substations in Coimbatore, Tirunelveli, Trichy, and Madurai, will be developed by selected developers with a minimum bid size of 100 MWh.
