Tata Semiconductor Manufacturing Private Limited will establish India’s first chip fabrication plant at Dholera, Gujarat, within a newly notified SEZ spanning 66 hectares. The project is expected to create around 21,000 jobs and boost domestic semiconductor manufacturing. Supported by policy reforms and SEZ rule amendments, the initiative aims to strengthen India’s electronics ecosystem, attract high-value investments, reduce import dependence, and position the country as a competitive global hub for semiconductor production.
