Tamil Nadu has introduced India’s first Repowering, Refurbishment, and Life Extension Policy 2024 for Wind Energy projects. Effective until March 2030, it mandates repowering or refurbishment for wind turbines over 20 years old and offers life extension for five years if performance criteria are met.
