Sungrow and Globeleq have signed a supply and 15-year service term sheet for the 153MW/612MWh Red Sands Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in South Africa. As part of the country’s BESIPPPP, it will be Africa’s largest standalone BESS, located in the Northern Cape. Sungrow will supply its PowerTitan 2.
