Stanwell Corporation has officially exited the Central Queensland Hydrogen Project (CQ-H2) in Gladstone, ending plans for 2.9 GW of electrolysers and 800 tonnes of daily green hydrogen production by 2030. The AU$15 billion project collapsed after the Queensland government refused further public funding, rejecting Stanwell’s AU$1 billion request.
