Spain has awarded €439.4 million in subsidies under its Auctions-as-a-Service (AaaS) green hydrogen scheme to three projects with a combined 250 MW electrolysis capacity. The funding supports projects previously shortlisted under the European Hydrogen Bank but unfunded due to EU budget limits.Two large projects in Huelva (80 MW and 140 MW) led by Iberdrola receive the majority of support, along with a 30 MW project in Albacete.
