GERC has approved tariffs for a 335 MW/670 MWh BESS project in Gujarat, developed through a competitive bidding process conducted by GUVNL. The project will help meet Energy Storage Obligation (ESO) and Renewable Purchase Obligation (RPO) targets by stabilising renewable-heavy grids through energy shifting from surplus to peak demand periods.
