Oman’s first state-backed green hydrogen project may supply a planned 2.5 mtpa green iron facility, under a new MOU between Meranti Green Steel and Anmah Energy. Meranti plans a Duqm-based HBI plant using natural gas and green hydrogen, initially relying on gas while gradually increasing hydrogen use.
