Singapore’s Sembcorp Industries will acquire ReNew Pvt Ltd’s unit, ReNew Sun Bright, for about SGD 246 million (₹1,700 crore). This 300 MW solar plant in Rajasthan, operational since 2021, will boost Sembcorp’s India renewable capacity to 6.9 GW and global portfolio to 19.3 GW. The acquisition, funded by cash and borrowings, is expected to complete by mid-2026.
