NTPC-SAIL JV Commissions 15 MW Bhilai Floating Solar Power Station in Chhattisgarh Successfully

NTPC-SAIL Power Company Limited (NSPCL), a joint venture of NTPC and SAIL, has commissioned the 15 MW Bhilai Floating Solar Power Station in Chhattisgarh. The final 5 MW module (Island-2) was successfully commissioned on June 24, 2026, making the entire project commercially operational. Developed at Maroda Reservoir-I, the floating solar plant will supply captive power to the Bhilai Steel Plant.
