SECI has commissioned the first 50 MW unit of its planned 100 MW floating solar PV plant at Getalsud Dam, Ranchi, beginning power supply to Jharkhand Bijli Vitaran Nigam Ltd (JBVNL) from 12 am Wednesday after a trial run on August 22. Power is evacuated to Sikidiri grid via 132 kV double-circuit Getalsud-Irba line, helping JBVNL meet its Renewable Purchase Obligation.
