SCHOTT headquartered in Mainz, Germany has been awarded the SPIE Catalyst Award for successfully producing optical glass using 100% hydrogen as a fuel source. This achievement marks a significant step towards decarbonizing high-temperature glass production, which typically requires temperatures up to 1,700°C.
