Scatec, in partnership with EDF Power Solutions, has started construction of the 900 MW Shadwan onshore wind farm in Egypt. The USD 716 million project will rank among Africa's largest onshore wind farms, expected to generate about 4 TWh annually and avoid 1.6 million tonnes of CO2 emissions yearly.
