RWE has secured a Capacity Investment Scheme (CIS) Tender 7 contract for its 1.1 GW Theodore onshore wind farm in Central Queensland, Australia. The project will include up to 170 turbines and a battery storage system, supplying electricity to around 500,000 homes. With an estimated investment of A$3 billion, construction is expected to begin later this year, subject to approvals.
