RWE Produces First Green Hydrogen at 300 MW Lingen Project in Germany

RWE has produced the first green hydrogen volumes at its 300 MW GET H2 Nukleus project in Lingen, Germany, during commissioning. The facility uses 200 MW ITM PEM electrolysers and 100 MW Sunfire alkaline electrolysers, forming one of Europe’s largest green hydrogen plants. Backed by €619 million government support, the project will supply industries through a 120 km pipeline and is expected to produce up to 49,000 tonnes of green hydrogen annually after full commissioning by 2027.
