Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RRVUNL) sought approval for tariffs discovered through competitive bidding for a 500 MW/1000 MWh Standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), with a green shoe option of another 500 MW. Developed under a BOO model with central viability gap funding, four firms—JSW Neo, Solarworld, Rays Power, and Oriana—were selected.
