The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has mandated that all Rooftop Solar Inverters under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana must use machine-to-machine (M2M) SIM communication and connect directly to national servers. This requirement aims to address grid stability and cybersecurity concerns linked to one crore targeted rooftop solar installations.
