Qair has secured planning consent from the Highland Council for the onshore infrastructure of its 1-GW Ayre offshore wind project in Scottish waters. The permit covers transmission facilities including cable landfall, substations, and associated infrastructure. Located 22 km east of Orkney, the floating wind project will use turbines in deep waters and is expected to generate electricity for more than 1.
