POWERGRID Sikar Transmission Limited, a subsidiary of Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd., successfully commissioned the “Transmission System Strengthening Scheme for Evacuation of Power from Solar Energy Zones in Rajasthan (8.1 GW) under Phase-II Part-C” project on December 19, 2024. The project, aimed at enhancing transmission infrastructure to support solar power evacuation, received its Commercial Operation Notification on January 22, 2025, advancing India’s renewable energy and grid stability goals.
