Power Grid Corporation of India (POWERGRID) has issued tenders for 187.5 MW/750 MWh standalone battery energy storage systems (BESS) at TGTRANSCO’s Maheswaram and Choutuppal substations in Telangana. Bidders must submit ₹25,000 each by January 21, 2026. Projects include installation, PCS transformers, interconnection, and 15 months’ operation and maintenance, with one daily four-hour cycle, 95% annual availability, and 85% monthly efficiency.
