Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (POWERGRID) has issued a tender to set up a 100 MW/200 MWh Battery Energy Storage System at the 220 kV Bhatinda substation in Punjab to strengthen grid stability and support renewable integration. The project is part of a 250 MW/500 MWh BESS programme under tariff-based competitive bidding with viability gap funding.
