PacificLight Power has secured the rights from EMA to build a Hydrogen CCGT power plant on Jurong Island, to be operational by 2029. With a capacity of at least 600 MW it will feature a large scale BESS, making it Singapore's first CCGT unit to integrate such technology. This project supports Singapore's transition to a low carbon future and aims to enhance energy security and grid stability.
