OHM Automotives has partnered with Kinwin China to introduce CATL battery-powered 12-meter electric buses in India, manufactured by CHTC China and imported as CBUs. The buses feature a 353 kWh LFP battery with over 300 km range and a 1.2 million km lifecycle. OHM has an initial order of 50 buses and plans to deploy 100 buses in the first year and 500 within two years, with ₹200 crore investment planned for local assembly and technology integration for Indian conditions.
