South Korea’s OCI Holdings is expanding into the solar wafer market by acquiring a 65% stake in Vietnam’s 2.7 GW wafer plant via OCI ONE. Scheduled for completion this month, the facility will produce non-PFE wafers, bypassing US import restrictions. Total investment is $120 million, with potential capacity doubling to 5.
